What About My Results?

So you can see that I have done the work and got the results AND kept them, here is my before and after photo comparison.

Now you might be wondering how did she do that? Well for those that are interested, I'll tell you...

In my twenties I found it super easy to just eat whatever I wanted and never put on any weight. Then I hit my thirties, and then I had two kids. Consequently, I saw my weight gradually increase over time. When I first started to think hmm I had better take some evasive action I decided to work at trying to out-train a bad diet because I love food. Surprise surprise, that didn't work.

I actually thought I was eating well for quite some time but then when I really looked, the once a month takeout had gone to once a week and the bag of chips with a movie had gone to every night of the weekend and sometimes during the week too, and my supposedly healthy morning smoothie was getting up to a whopping 700 calories - you get the picture!

So I finally decided enough was enough and that the knowledge I had had got me to where I was but wasn't what was going to get me where I wanted to be. I didn't know anything else so I found a trainer and worked with her for 6 months. Now I have to say she was amazing at getting the weight loss results, I did what I was told and lost almost all of what I wanted in the first 3 months. Then I stayed because I wanted to lose the last few kg's and didn't know how to do it on my own. Plus I was terrified of putting it all back on again!

Then I had a moment one day when I was so frustrated with not being able to change my diet or training plan without the 'permission' of my trainer, that I thought there had to be a way to manage this myself. And so I began hunting for a more sustainable way to eat and train.

Fast forward a few months and I had found a way to eat that allowed me to set my own targets and know why they were set that way, adjust them as I needed depending on my goals and change up what I wanted to eat and how I wanted to train knowing I was in control of my results.

Since figuring that out I have tried and tested the different phases including building muscle, losing weight, reverse dieting and maintaining to see that what I know really works for all fitness goals.

So, whilst being given a meal and training plan can and does totally work, and if you really want someone to tell you exactly what to do and what to eat then finding someone to do that for you is what you should do. However, what I offer is a much longer term solution to put the power back in your hands to create what your fitness journey looks like. I help you figure out you really want and how to create it, how to get out of your own way when you feel stuck and how to keep at it even when it seems impossible.

If you are someone that wants to build long-term sustainable habits for your eating, training and you life, then I can absolutely help you. If you are willing to do the work to figure out what is best for you rather than having someone else tell you this is the place for you. I love to chat and am always happy to answer questions so feel free to get in touch or visit my free resources page to get started.

I look forward to working with you on your journey!
